We are Agricultural Express and we're located in Billings Montana. We are a transport company that is licensed for all 48 states, but we are primarily running the 11 western. We pull 53-foot reefers and we haul produce, groceries and general commodites. On average, our full time drivers do from 3,000 to 3,500 miles a week and are out from 7 to 10 days at a time. (Dispatch will work with you on home time.) Our part time drivers are out about 4 days doing short trips from CO, UT, MN, WA, CA. Teams do from 5,000 to 6,000 miles per week. Full time drivers can earn up to 0.34 cents per mile, with starting pay depending on how much experience and how their application details. .08 of this is subsistance pay so the driver is not taxed on it and can write it off at the end of the year without a receipt. Drivers are eligible for the first pay increase after 90 days which is based on a positive review. Our part time drivers can earn as much as full time drivers depending on availability and consistency. There are no benefits with this and they are not assigned a truck. It's also an on call type basis. After 90 days health insurance is available and the company does pay 60% of the employee's premium. The remaining portion is divided and deducted out of their 4 weekly paychecks. Additional coverage such as addition of a spouse or dependant, is an additional cost to the driver. Ag Express has paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years, and 3 weeks after 5 years. After 6 months the company has a Simple IRA available that the company can match up to 3% of the participants annual income on a profitable year and their investments are progressive. Ag Express runs 2004 and 2006 Peterbilt's. |
